The SZTE Alma Mater Weekend is here again! On June 14, we are waiting for young and old with exciting family programs, individual and group sports opportunities, faculty competitions and the unmissable cooking competition, GastroMater. Former and current SZTE students and employees, as well as their family members and friends, are welcome again this year at the SZTE Sports Center in Hattyas. Don't miss our diverse program, such as the bouncy castle, sports for children and adults, handicrafts, henna and face painting, exciting scientific experiments, environmental protection and equal opportunity challenges, faculty competitions and the prizes you can get with the stamp collection ticket!

At this diverse SZTE program, we are preparing for you with beanbags, rest areas, and lot of fun, so that you can have a good conversation, like in the old days. And if you're hungry or thirsty, you don't have to go to the store anymore, you can buy snacks, healthy refreshments and sweet treats in GastroGarden (GastroKert). Plan your lunch on Alma Mater Weekend's Saturday and become a liberated university student again!

As always, the event is free, but registration is required. 

Former and current students and employees of SZTE can register through the SZTE Alma Mater website until June 13. Each registrant has the opportunity to invite a maximum of 10 guests, so it's worth inviting family and children's friends to make it a really fun Saturday.

You can arrive at the Alma Mater Weekend on Saturday from 8:30 a.m., as usual, the program starts at 9:15 a.m. with a joint warm-up, and then the program cavalcade begins, with stage performances which adding more and more color to the atmosphere.

After short performances by stage guests, visitors will have the opportunity to freely try out the various sports at the different stations. They can get a taste of the exciting worlds of floorball, acrobatics, and juggling, slide down the summer ski slope, and enjoy volleyball, basketball, wall climbing, archery, ping-pong, badminton, martial arts, jump rope, kangoo, TRX, and spine yoga. Just listing them all is exhausting!

Over the next few days, we’ll introduce each program element in more detail. For group classes and indoor sports sessions, we recommend pre-registration to avoid any inconvenience.

At the Alma Mater Weekend, we’ll find out which faculty earned the titles of Most Active and Most Sporty as part of the SZTE Let's do this! spring challenge.

But the competition doesn’t stop there!
On-site, both kids and adults can keep collecting points for their faculty all morning through ergometer rowing and basketball shooting to find out which faculty is the Ultimate Strongest Puller and Sharpest Shooter!

We’re also looking for teams of 4 to join the Faculty Tug-of-War!

While the adults are talking, the children are entertained again by many activities that can be toured with a stamp collecting ticket. Colorful bubbles, bouncy castle, crafts, board games, giant puzzle, mini-ninja track, sport selector, henna and face painting, and much more. Athletes and teams will be with us to bring sports closer to children. Make sure you try everything and collect the stamps, because exciting and valuable prizes await you this year as well!

To make sure adults don’t miss out on the prize shower, a photo contest will be held for them. In the weeks following the event, we’ll be searching together for the best photo of the 2025 Weekend.

GasztroMater is back, the university’s cooking competition in the usual style: teams representing faculties and institutes will compete against each other in the field of stew-based dishes for the Golden Spoon Award in 2025 (Aranyfakanál Díj).
