From 8-9 May 2025 the University of Szeged Alma Mater Office had the pleasure of participating in the 10th International Conference on Alumni Relations – ICAReAlumni 2025, held in the vibrant city of Porto, Portugal. The event took place at the Porto Accounting & Business School (ISCAP), part of the Polytechnic of Porto, a beautiful and welcoming venue that perfectly complemented the inspiring atmosphere of the conference.

Over the course of two days, participants from across Europe and beyond came together to share experiences, best practices, and innovative strategies in alumni relations and career services. The program was packed with insightful presentations, great networking opportunities, and interesting discussions. Throughout the sessions, we learned from a wide range of institutions, covering topics such as stakeholder management, international alumni engagement, pre-alumni initiatives, and award programs.

A key highlight for us was the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals who share similar goals andchallenges in alumni engagement. It was both enlightening and reassuring to exchange experiences, see how others structure their activities, and reflect on the similarities and differences compared to our own practices.

The first day concluded with a celebratory anniversary dinner by the Douro River, providing a perfect setting to continue conversations and build new professional relationships in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. The second day offered further inspiration with sessions, and group activities.

We are grateful to the organizers at ISCAP and ICAReAlumni for hosting such a meaningful and well-coordinated event, and we look forward to continuing the collaboration and joining the community again in 2026!
