One of our participants shares his firsthand experience of the event below. Take a look at what topics we covered, how the conversation unfolded, and overall what was the atmosphere of the event:
"Attending this session was both inspiring and eye-opening. Honestly, at first, I did not think that much about this event as I thought it would be just like all other events that talk a lot about AI, but after a few minutes into the event, it took me by surprise. It gave me answers to the questions I had, more or less guiding me through them about career paths and choices.
The speaker’s journey—from studying literature to spending a decade in finance and then moving into HR—was a great example of how careers don’t always follow a straight path. What stood out to me was her perspective on career growth: it’s no longer a simple ladder but a jungle gym, with shifts, detours, and unexpected opportunities.
One key takeaway was the importance of transferable skills. Even if job titles change, core skills like strategic thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability remain valuable. She emphasized taking career moves step by step—not jumping blindly into the unknown but making informed, intentional shifts.
I also found her view on AI as a career tool interesting. Instead of seeing it as a threat, she encouraged using AI as an ally—whether for brainstorming, skill-building, or job searching. But she also reminded us that human mentors are just as important.
Perhaps the most motivating takeaway was her advice on embracing boldness. She encouraged us to show up, express ourselves, and not be afraid to take risks. One phrase stuck with me: “If your next step doesn’t scare you, it’s probably not the right step.” Growth happens when we push beyond our comfort zones.
Overall, this session reinforced the idea that careers are about exploration and adaptability. It’s okay not to have everything figured out—what matters is continuously learning, trusting yourself, and taking each step with purpose."
A big thank you to Talha Khalid for the wonderful experience report!

"As someone going into a different career direction in a new environment, I found the presentation informative and insightful - to hear things from an HR point of view. I learnt some new perspectives about AI which is useful to me. The presenter had an agreeable manner of speaking which I could relate to, and she made the session effortlessly interactive. I would certainly be interested in more presentations on the topic of AI and recruitments."
